If you’re a born and raised Londoner you know about Ice Kid, probably from his early work with Sickman or the Westwood freestyle he duppied alongside Chipmunk. lyrically he is probably one of the strongest in the grime scene and I truly believe that he has out done himself with this tune.

Here’s the official release I got hit up with for SlickdotR’s EP named Eleven , a title well suited for it’s release date on 11.11.11 as well as his birthday. The EP takes a unique angle on current British music and serves as a breath of fresh air. If those of you are unfamiliar with SlickdotR he hails from East london and is an avid writer , producer and music engineer. As an all rounder his work ethic is unmatched and it is evident in the quality of this project. Influenced by artists such as Kano, Dot Rotten and Wretch 32 SlickdotR aims to disrupt the UK scene by diving in with Eleven. A lot of you readers who follow my music posts know I only post that good sh#t so everyone who is reading this definately should check out this project for a mix of bangers and tunes to mellow down to. This is one artist who is taking steps in the right direction. Download & follow links are below…
This is a follow up to the previous audio post of ‘House of Pain’ but this time around I’ve got the visuals for you…it’s like a 7 & a half minute history lesson, chapter, grime, topic Kano & Ghetts. My opinion anyway.

Kano & Ghetts, a legendary combo really deliver deliver on this cut dubbed ‘House Of Pain’…both MCs vent the up’s and down’s of the grime scene, emotional lyrics over a dope instrumental by Mikey J.

Off of Blam, this is one of the best cuts of the album in my opinion. JME’s done a lot for the scene so I wonder what he’s got coming up next…

Flirta D (SRE) - Girls With Shape
Just saw this now and with all the pullbacks at the beginning it reminded me of something, then further on I started to clock this was actually quite simmilar to Kreayshawns - Bumpin’ Bumpin’ , but finally when I heard him start singing I knew it was an exact rip of her track. Well i’m not sure if he purposely ripped it, or just covered it. If he covered it then he should have given credit where due on the video. And then that begs the question , why is Flirta D who was once rated in North West London resorting to ripping (or even listening to) Kreayshawn -which is nowhere close to his genre. Someone should explain this to me because i’m pretty confused by this… smh

The new Grime banger has just hit coming from D Double E, dubbed ‘Bluku Bluku’ featuring Dizzee Rascal. Both of these artists are veterans and they’ve done what they’re supposed to do…kill it!
The visuals are nice and classic, feeling the black & white which kinda took me back to the ‘I Luv U’ video so you can’t really go wrong. Check it!
