What’s Interesting about this photo is the fact that although the fact that the sun is directly behind him causes im to appear as a silhouette his fork reamains white and the angle that it is shot at cuts out the ramp and the most of the background is instead is filled with blue sky makes it seem as if he is flying. This is comparable to way that you view a bird from below when it flies past the sun.
This effect is only broken once you see the spectators watching in the background.
