The Sky Might Fall

LONDON

If you check this space you would have seen the post we put out earlier on the launch of the exhibition but Highsobiety had the chance to sit down with Haroshi himself and talk about his inspiration for each piece, giving everyone who can’t make it down a closer more detailed look into each piece. Here are a few words from highsnobiety:

“Huf and Deluxe Distribution recently partnered with Japanese artist, Haroshi, on a sculpture series inspired by professional skateboarders Peter Ramondetta, Tommy Guerrero, Dennis Busenitz and Keith Hufnagel. Haroshi applied his signature sculptural technique to the project using old skateboards and components as his medium for design. Highsnobiety TV checked in with Huf and Haroshi the night before the exhibition’s opening ceremony to get the inside scoop on the project. Luckily there was a Japanese interpreter on hand to help us translate some of the finer details behind Haroshi’s incredible attention to detail and one-of-a-kind craftsmanship.”

Our second colaboration with Deluxe is a REAL deck featuring the iconic original oval logo which goes back to the very first Real Tommy Guerrero ‘TG’. We’re really proud to be bringing you this deck in two sizes: 8” and 8.25” in premium Deluxe wood which we all know is one of the best around. The shape is the most popular in each of those sizes and the graphic features a subtle tonal Slam 25th Anniversary background print.
