A few days ago F.King Taisho - an up and coming composer/producer from London - released the “Posh Flip” mixtape , a compilation of his latest productions and flips of various hip-hop and popular tracks. His style is unique and draws from various inspirations that are apparent in the different tracks (Dilla and Nujabes ,Fat Jon , Flying Lotus to name a few). In terms of music coming out from the UK I have yet to hear someone producing similar quality music with sheer dopeness to chill and vibe. 4th Annual XXL Freshman class, the lineup isn’t better than previous years as I’ve said before ,however there are some gems and it’s good to see them getting recognition for keeping hip-hop alive. XXL dropped the mixtape today which is hosted by DJ Whoo Kid and features 11 tracks from the chosen rappers. I haven’t listened to it all yet but Kendrick goes fucking beast and there is alot of diversity between the rappers. Definately worth the listen. Download Via XXL MAG

The Weeknd is a R&B duo from Toronto , not much known about them except they have just recently been co-signed by Drake. When I jumped on this I was a bit skeptical due to them somewhat coming out of nowhere , however once I listened to the first two tracks of the tape I was instantly won over. Nothing better than to start off the week with some chill ass music. This is a definite cop, go give it a fucking listen, it’s free and shit anyway. Heres the download
