Xbox went from Great to Greatness!!!

Xbox 360

E3 in LA is well under way and microsof t have been dropping bombs on soon to come 360 updates, new releases and shizz. Below i will qoute exactly what the spokesman said so that there is no confusion so enjoy and know that Xbox is the future.

The first and biggest bomb is Project Natal.

“Filmmaker Steven Spielberg welcomed everyone to controller-free gaming in LA earlier today. “The next step in interactive entertainment is to make the controller disappear,” said the visionary director and producer. “With ‘Project Natal,’ we’ll see games that bring everyone together through technology that actually recognises us” But what is ‘Project Natal’? We’ll be glad to tell you.

Project Natal is the codename for a revolutionary new way to play games and enjoy entertainment on your Xbox 360. In short: no controller required!

When this baby launches you can play sports, sing and dance, fight and whatever else captures the imagination of the world’s greatest game designers. Your actions, and emotional reactions, will all be acknowledged by your Xbox 360.

This incredible new experience is made possible thanks to the Project Natal Sensor, which combines an RGB camera, depth sensor, multi-array microphone and custom processor running proprietary software all in one device. Existing cameras and controllers only trace movement in 2D, but Project Natal tracks full body movement in 3D and responds to commands, directions… even shifts of emotion in your voice!

By stepping in front of the Project Natal Sensor, anyone can easily give instructions just by talking. And not just keywords but fully understanding everything you say. The Project Natal Sensor also recognises your face so can log you into Xbox LIVE without having to say or do anything apart from maybe smile because you’re happy.

With Project Natal the only experience needed is life experience. It’s coming soon and changing the world of entertainment exclusively on Xbox 360.”

The second is the new releases.

More fun, more entertainment value and more games available only on Xbox 360. This is the message coming out of the E3 show this week in Los Angeles, USA.

Not just the biggest games, but games that can only be played on Xbox 360 are coming soon. Stunning sequels and indeed prequels have been announced at E3, among them “Forza Motorsport 3,” “Halo 3: ODST”, “Crackdown 2,” “Shadow Complex” and “Alan Wake”. Most staggering of all is news of a Halo trilogy prequel “Halo: Reach” and more will be revealed on that bombshell at a later date.

Here’s the pick of what’s coming and when to expect them so you can be ready!

“Halo 3: ODST”

September 22, make that a date for your diary. Why? Because that’s when “Halo 3: ODST” gets here! As you may already know ODST stands for Orbital Drop Shock Trooper and this game portrays ODST missions leading up to Halo 3. Comes with three new Halo 3 multiplayer maps and a four-player co-op mode called Firefight. Oh, and remember we told you about “Halo: Reach” back there? Well “Halo 3: ODST” includes your invite to a Halo: Reach multiplayer beta. Be sure to pick up the Collector’s Pack for a new and exclusive wireless controller.

“Alan Wake”

Light is your only ally in this all-new psychological action thriller from the creators of “Max Payne”. Prepare to have your mind twisted when the game hits in 2010.

“Crackdown 2”

Reprise your role as judge, jury and executioner in Pacific City. The multiplayer modes are going to be even more exceptional if that’s even possible. Due 2010.

“Forza Motorsport 3”

This October you can slide behind the wheel of more than 400 cars on over 100 real-world race tracks. Then get to work with new customization and sharing tools.

“Shadow Complex”

From the studio that brought you Gears of War comes a side-scrolling adventure based on Orson Scott Card’s novel, “Empire”. Coming soon to Xbox LIVE Arcade.

“Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction”

Exclusive to Xbox 360 this autumn. Agent Sam Fisher has turned renegade and needs your help improvising tools used for stealth missions. The Xbox LIVE element is promised to be insane… as in brilliant, but we like ‘insane’ better.

“Modern Warfare 2”

One of the most-anticipated games of the year arrives 10 November, bringing more heart-in-mouth action to Xbox 360 and Xbox LIVE. We need 48-hour days.

“The Beatles: Rock Band”

In addition to legendary songs “The Beatles: Rock Band” boasts new hardware modelled after the instruments used by Lennon, McCartney and Ringo Starr. Twist and Shout from September!

The list goes on, but you’ll be hearing plenty more on all of these soon enough so stay tuned to Xbox.com. Meanwhile here are some more names for you to get excited about for all the right reasons: “1 vs. 100”, “Final Fantasy XIII”, “Gears of War 2: Dark Corners”, “Joy Ride”, “Left 4 Dead 2”, “Tony Hawk: RIDE”.

Okay enough, our heads are going to explode.”

The third is that Xbox are combinding with Facebook and Twitter as well, once they do this they will conquer the social networking market by working with Facebook, MSN and Twitter so when you get a new achievement you can be like “oh, let me twitter that!”

If your feeling too lazy to read all that then basically what they are saying is IF YOU HAVE A 360 YOU’RE JIGGY IF NOT GET ONE!!!

Peace & Love
